"Guy has an instinct for working with this age that is rare among artists. My three-year-old son was new to the preschool classroom the summer when Guy was the artist in resdeince. He had never talked about school before; then one day he began telling us things about Guy: "Guy has a ponytail" (Ethan wanted one too), that he played a guitar. He had obviously made a huge impression. SO I cam in and observed one day to see what the excitement was about. Subsequently I have engaged Guy for a series of one-on-one "lessons" with Ethan. As a teacher, Guy is gentle but playful, good at focusing energy, flexible and knowing when to change directions. In settings where there is a tendency to try to regiment and control children, he is able to turn excitement to positive ends, providing discipline and structure. He is also able to genuinely share his love of music."
